less of me, More of JESUS

Normally, a person would think about things that are beneficial to him and we often forget about God. We sometimes forget that all of the things that are happening into our lives is because of our creator. This blog is intended for all who wants to be more like Christ. To think more about him and less about himself. Come and join me as we walk together with Jesus to this journey called life.

I will do all I can to update this blog from time to time. This will contain my own articles, videos, music, articles written by different authors, inspirational story and a lot more. Anything about Jesus.

This is not all about me, this is all about Him.

Manny Pacquiao's 1st loss in 7 years

Manny Pacquiao won his last 15 fights since he lost to Erik Morales on 2005.

The whole Philippines (if not the world) was shocked with this loss. We didn't expect this. We get used to see Mike Buffer announcing the Name of Manny Pacquiao with the word "Still" before his name. I would admit I was also shocked. At first, I can't believe that he lost. I thought everyone is just kidding around but when I verified that it sure, it made me sad. I was anxious about the fight and of course I would want him to win but I am also not confident about this fight.

As you could notice, Pacquiao became closer to God after his last fight against Juan Miguel Marquez and the transformation on his life is already evident. Starting from his vices down to his preaching. I really appreciate it what he is doing. He is hungry for the word and God is using his popularity so that he can be a God's messenger.
The question is, why did he lose now that he is much closer to God? For me, it could be a sign of God to ask him to stop this sport. God wants Manny to focus on his duty as a congressman and as a preacher. That's what he ought to do anyway. He doesn't need millions of dollars from fights anymore. He can already provide to his family enough for a lifetime. So why would he need money for? Well, personally I don't know. I've heard some opinion from a christian point-of-view. They both said that this just the test of God. Manny could show the world his faithfulness to God in the middle of a great disappointment. He should not ask God why but instead praise God because of what happened. We have just proven that he is not invincible. He is still defeat-able. I would also agree with what my christian friend and pastor said. He has now given a choice by God to continue to be faithful with him or not. He would accept this lost with all of his heart, acknowledging God's great plan for his life, we believe that he will win the Rematch not just because he will train harder but just because God will be with him on that fight.

God has blessed him so much with all the fame and fortune and if I'm am Manny, I would not ask for more.

Whether good or bad, don't forget that God is in fully control of our life. We just need to let him take the wheel and be with him wherever he wants us to go. As you can see, Manny doesn't have bruises or wounds in his face even he fought against a good boxer and he received a lot of punches that lasted for 12 rounds.

I couldd not blame my fellowmen to be extremely disappointed with the result but you don't have to be so much affected up to the point you will curse and accused someone cheating.

Jessica Sanchez lost, and now Manny Pacquiao. Many would asked, who's next? Philippines should be known not because of Manny or Jessica, but Philippines should be know for its values and principles. We should be know for what kind of people we are.

I hope we could let go of what just happened because no rant can ever turn the decision the other way around. Let us not commit sin because of this sport event. In any contest there is a winner, and there is a loser. Its just that, the judges thinks that Bradley is better than Manny that night.
For me, he is still the best boxer in the world.
